It was eons since she had last seen him in person. She had a special place in her heart for him. No matter what, she was saving her feelings for him. At least, she could see him in her dreams. She had reason to believe that she would see him again. After all, it was destiny that they get together. Even if it meant having to be apart from each other for so long.

And spaces between us

The boy of her dreams has continued to travel with new friends every region. And he knew that none of those girls could replace...her...in his heart. It was only a matter of time before he finally accomplished his dream - being a Pokemon Master. He always had him in his mind, and his dreams as well. He could never forget her, no matter what.

Every day, she took care of her gym. It was tough being a Gym Leader, especially knowing that your boyfriend was out there still aiming for his dreams. She didn't want to be here. She was practically forced into it by her sisters - who are traveling the world. She would give anything to have her sisters come back, so she could be with...him.

Both very well remembered the first day they met. He was running from a flock of angry Spearow, and he and his Pikachu happened to fall into a river...or was it a lake? Oh yeah it was a river. After surviving a waterfall, he was fished out of the river by...her. She was concerned for both him and Pikachu...but only mentioned Pikachu. He took her bike and rode to Viridian City...trashing the bike in the process.

For five years, they traveled together. She only tagged along at first because of the bike she thought she was owed. But as time passed, it was clear that this was about more than just a bike. She had fallen for him. And he had fallen for her. But they couldn't express their feelings for each other as long as a spiky-haired teenager was tagging along.

There, it struck him. He could not wait any longer. He had to go see her again. Being a Pokemon Master could wait. The Isshu region could wait. He told his new friends he needed some time alone back home, and so he took the next ferry back to Pallet Town. From there, he set off for Cerulean City, where his real reason for putting his Isshu journey on hold was.

All of the sudden, she heard the doorbell ring. She went to answer the door, and then, they finally embraced each other. He said, "Misty, it's been so long now. I just couldn't wait any longer. Damn writers made me go to Isshu without seeing you." Misty was just as enthusiastic, "oh Ash, nothing could ever separate us again. I really wish my sisters could come back soon."

Ash said, "you know what, I'll stay here with you until they come back. I can wait on the Isshu League. Screw the writers. Misty, I love you."

"I love you too Ash," Misty said.
